April 28, 2011 – Fiona Dodwell talks about her new book, The Banishing

About the book: When Melissa first notices the change in her husband – subtle at first – she thinks it may be the stress of moving into their new home. Or working long hours. But soon her husband turns into something far darker, far more sinister. Who or what is the dark shadow living beneath her husband? What is haunting him? Melissa must quickly find the answer to these questions, because Mark is changing, and fast. Soon her fight will be for her life, as well as for her marriage.

May 1, 2011 – Rie McGaha talks about her new book, One Good Man

About the book:  Allison Hamstead thought it was love, finally, after all the years alone, someone loved her in spite of the fact she was fat! Not that her size had ever kept her from being successful, but it had kept her far from personal relationships. She’d heard all of the fat jokes ever told, all of the things people in her office said behind her back, and she didn’t miss not having a boyfriend, or dates every weekend. Did she? But now she was in love and she couldn’t wait to introduce him to her best friend, Sarah. And what a mistake that had turned out to be! It wasn’t long before the love of her life and her best friend were living together and Allison was humiliated.

Starting over is never easy, but Allison is determined to do so and moves far from Chicago to the warm waters of Biloxi, Mississippi where she accepts a position at one of the floating casinos. For the first time in her life, Allison feels like she’s truly at home. She loves her job, she loves her boss, who is like a father to her, and she loves being a part of all the excitement going on around her. Except for one little thing…
Her boss’s eldest son, Stephen, is probably the most handsome, gorgeous, and sexy man she’s ever laid eyes on…and he knows it! And for some reason he acts interested in her. Then her mother comes to visit and winds up dating her boss. Her accounts start showing large amounts of money missing. And her ex shows up unannounced and says he wants her back. Can anything else possibly go wrong?

Absolutely!

May 5, 2011 – Dee Brice talks about her new book, Her Virtual Consort

About the book:  A Marsian queen ripe for seduction. A banished Sednan prince desperate to find a home world. A battle of the sexes instigated by the gods.

Marsian queen Paris needs an heir, but she’s running out of options for her child’s sire. She also wants to grow her own cocoa trees so she can stop paying Venus’ outrageous prices for chocolate. Banished from Sedna because he lacks the markings of his royal caste, farmer-prince Jirkar needs a home world. If Paris doesn’t accept him, he’ll spend the rest of his life on spaceships, never again able to plant anything in life-giving soil.

Each has a dream. Can they fulfill it, or will they spend the rest of their lives alone?

May 8, 2011 – Jacquiline Paige talks about her recent release, Twice Cursed

About the book:  Maddy is the oldest witchling to ever attend the Hidden Cove Academy, having been cursed as a teen; she’s forced to have a solitary life outside of her own magical community.  With her magic so dangerously unpredictable, she rarely takes the chance on mixing with the general public.

From one harmless trip to a museum she finds herself spellbound yet again by an invisible boundary, caused by a three hundred year old curse, dictating that Maddy must stay close to the stunningly sexy Colin.

Being stuck with a tall, dark, incredibly lick-able stranger can’t be all that bad, right? Until they discover if they get too close the spirits bound with the curse will take over their bodies … at the same time if they’re too far from one another the curse will kill them both.

Will the curse’s secrets be unraveled in time or does certain death await them both?

May 12, 2011 – Roundtable talk with CR Moss, RM Sotera and Heather Kuehl

Special Event:  This is the first of what I hope are a once per month roundtable discussion with authors and, I hope, publishers. We don’t get as deeply involved with specific books, but talk about various subjects, such as the attraction of paranormal fiction, vampires, horror, writing and so forth.
