Theresa Meyers
To say I lead a double life is putting it mildly. Everything about me could be a contradiction.
City girl and country girl: I was the city girl who grew up in a small town, literally. We moved from San Jose, California, where my biggest kick was shopping with my friends and ice-skating at the indoor rink when I was 13, to a 75-acre sheep ranch on the edge of the small town of Sutherlin, Oregon, which had a smaller population for the entire town than the congregation at my church in the Bay area. My high school graduating class was under 100 people.
The writer who was journalist, publicist and novelist: I never intended to either write books or be in public relations, they both sort of happen as an extension of my love of writing. My experience in the publishing industry is varied. I started out writing on the school newspaper in junior high, more as a dare by my boyfriend when I wanted to prove that anything he could do, I could do just as well. From the moment I saw my first article in print, I was hooked. My first short story, “My Mother Unusual in a Normal Sort of Way” was published by Merlin’s Pen in 1987. I wrote for the paper all through high school and into college. Then I worked at a daily newspaper where I became the “messenger of death” from the day editor to the night editor . . .and I was too afraid that the cliché kill the messenger might turn into a reality, so I quit, got married to my high school sweetheart at 19 and started college, focusing on mass communications.
From writer to publicist and back again: So how exactly did I go from being a writer to a publicist and back again? I was writing on my books and doing pr on the side for restaurants, small businesses, hotels and the like. A dear friend, (Cherry Adair, love her books) asked me to do some publicity work on her upcoming book and I agreed – but told her, I don’t publicize books. From that one incident, a new business was created. It morphed into Blue Moon Communications, a public relations firm focused on promoting fiction authors, which is best know for getting their clients selected as two of the seven picks of the Kelly Ripa Book Club on LIVE! With Regis and Kelly. Now I work two jobs, publicity and writing the books, well, three if you count being a mom.
Like I said, a life full of contradictions, but hey I’m a Gemini, which pretty well sums it all up.

Heidi Cullinan
Heidi grew up in love with story. She fell asleep listening to Disney long-playing records and read her Little House On The Prairie books until they fell apart. She ran through the woods inventing stories of witches and fairies and enchanted trees and spent hours beneath the lilac bush imagining the lives of the settlers who had inhabited the homestead log cabin and two-story late 1800s home on her family farm. She created epic storylines for her Barbies (Robin Hood was a firm favorite) until it wasn’t satisfying enough to do so any longer (age ten), and then she started writing them down. Her first novel, The Life and Times of Michelle Matthews, was published when she was twelve in the school anthology and took up nearly half of it.
Though Heidi continued to write novels through high school (and still has the Rubbermaid tub full in her bedroom), she stopped in college, deciding it was time to grow up and do something meaningful with her life. When the specifics of that didn’t pan out, Heidi ended up in grad school to become a teacher, and through one of the courses rediscovered her love of romance novels. She began to write again on the side, continued to do so while she taught seventh grade language arts and reading, and when she quit teaching to have her daughter, she took up writing with more seriousness, both as a stress relief and as a potential means of bringing in money.
Eight years and many million pages later, Heidi has learned a lot about writing, more than she ever wanted to know about publishing, and most importantly, finally figured out that writing IS the meaningful something she wants to do with her life. A passionate advocate for LGBT rights, Heidi volunteers as often as she can for One Iowa and donates with her husband as a monthly partner to the Human Rights Campaign and Lambda Legal. She encourages you to support your own local and national LGBT rights groups, too.
Temple Boy
There is something different about Aurel. Though he’s lived his whole life as a Temple Boy in remote Mantua, no one seems to know when he arrived, or even when he was born. Despite a strict edict against sexual contact in the monastery, somehow even the most devout of men seem unable to stop from throwing themselves at Aurel. But things really get hairy when God shows up speaking Catalian and demands Aurel help him find his true love.
Now giant stone beasts are running him down at mass, witches are dropping out of the sky, and a sad, headless man whispers of lost love to Aurel in his dreams. It isn’t until a band of vengeful amazons drag him into the desert hills, however, that Aurel realizes how much of not just his life but the lives of others are at stake—but he can’t do anything until he figures out which God, if any, is real.

I started The Romance Radio Network at the beginning of this year and have posted eighty-nine interviews to date. That’s a rate of almost two per week for the eleven or so months. My dream initially was to provide a service to romance authors (and publishers), along with creating a brand and pushing the Desmond Haas name.
Every writer I’ve interviewed has taught me something new about the craft and I’ve enjoyed each minute of this endeavor. My policy has always been to allow the author to use the audio file and links for whatever purpose they want for promotion. There was never any intention to charge for this service.
The interviews take about forty minutes to record and then another hour, at least, to edit and finally, another hour to post the web notes and send the email to the author and possibly their publisher/agent.
I had hoped these interviews would translate into book sales for me along the way, but, alas, I can’t point to any appreciable numbers generated by name recognition via The Romance Radio Network. The time spent has taken me away from my family and my writing and without creating sales, the interviews have been but a labor of love.
Effective immediately, I am pulling the plug on the interviews. I will accept no more requests, but will fulfill all obligations for recordings in the queue, but not yet posted. Whatever I have left to edit, I will do so as quickly as I can and post the final edited MP3 file and notes.
To all of you I’ve met, you have made me a better person and a better writer. To all who have listened to The Romance Radio Network interviews, I thank you.

Liliana Hart
Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis, so she finally decided to hang up her hat and let someone else have all the fun. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).
Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller–a dazzling adventure–where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can’t help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.
Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America. Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.
Enjoy the Adventures!
Whiskey Rebellion
My name is Addison Holmes, and I teach history at James Madison High School in Whiskey Bayou, Georgia. You might be under the assumption that my life went to the dogs when my fiancé left me at the altar for the home economics teacher, or when I got notice that my apartment building was going to be condemned, or even when I was desperate enough to strip to my unmentionables to earn some extra cash so I could buy a house. The truth is that I’m pretty much used to disasters following me around on a daily basis, but I could have gone without finding my principal dead in the parking lot of a seedy gentlemen’s club.
After the initial shock of finding my first dead body, which included throwing back shots of Jack Daniels like it was water, I decided to take stock of my life. I was in a desperate situation and if the school board ever found out I’d been a stripper, even a bad stripper, I’d be jobless as well as fiancé-less and homeless. Fortunately, I had a friend who felt sorry enough for me to give me a job doing some surveillance work at her detective agency. And it didn’t bother me one bit that it was the equivalent of a pity fuck. Money is money, and I was about to be homeless. Not to mention the fact that I was now able to stick my nose into other people’s business for a good cause, find a murderer and pick up helpful tips from an incredibly attractive detective.
Come check out my story and be thankful your life is relatively normal.

Ciara Lake
Reading and writing is a wonderful diversion from an often-difficult world. I love to create my own stories and have control over how things will end. It’s exciting to create brand new worlds and characters. My imagination can come alive.
In sci-fi and paranormal stories, I can invent wonderful places and people. Anything is possible in these genres and that’s limitless. I’m able to create an escape into a special world filled with unique and fantastic things and there is always a happy ending.
A high school teacher inspired me to write. However, instead of initially pursuing my writing career I became a lawyer. I work in divorce court, so erotic romance is a great escape. There can be true love and happy-endings, at least on my pages.
My two children and I have two good-humored dogs that share our home and ease our stress. I have traveled and lived all over the world and these experiences have given me great creative ideas.
I look forward to creating many more adventures in romance.

Rosalie Lario
Formally trained as a corporate and real estate lawyer, I practiced law for 5 years before finally admitting to myself that negotiating contracts wasn’t nearly as fun as dreaming up stories. As an avid reader of romances and supernatural stories, I knew I wanted to write urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Tales of vampires, demons, and other supernatural beings ensued.
I’m currently working on the Demons of Infernum series, a series of paranormal romance novels featuring four sexy half-demon brothers and their reluctant heroines.
When not writing, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son in our home state of Florida, as well as searching out things that go bump in the night. I still haven’t found any, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
If I ever do find evidence of the supernatural, it remains to be seen whether I’ll jump around in excitement, or run screaming in terror (but I’m betting on the latter)!
Blood of the Demon
Keegan lives to exact revenge on the evil demon who sired and abused him. When his father devises a plan to
bring upon the apocalypse, he and his three half-brothers, inter-dimensional bounty-hunters for the Elden Council, are charged with capturing and delivering their father for punishment.
Art gallery owner Brynn Meyers has no idea that her abilities to read memories embedded in objects and drain people of their life force means she has demon ancestry. Unfortunately for Brynn, she’s also the key to raising an ancient zombie army, which puts her on every demon’s Most Wanted List.
And no one wants her more than Mammon.
Keegan must protect Brynn from his father by any means necessary, but he’ll have to learn to harness the other half of his genetics—the far deadlier, uncontrollable side—when he starts to fall for the one woman standing between him and the vengeance he so desperately seeks. The one woman he’ll never be able to resist.
“BLOOD OF THE DEMON grabs hold of you from page one and doesn’t let go. It’s a wild and hot paranormal ride readers will love.” ~ National bestselling author Cynthia Eden
“The hot and wild fusion of demon, dragon, and desire had me burning through the pages!” ~ Jessa Slade, author of Vowed in Shadows

Bio for Debby Lee
I was raised in the cozy town of Toledo Washington, the daughter of a logging truck driver and a homemaker. I was a quiet and sometimes quirky student, graduating from Toledo High School in 1984. I later went on to earn an AA degree from Centralia College in 2004.
I’ve always enjoyed writing poetry, short stories and in scribbling in my diary. After reading a Danielle Steele book in the seventh grade, I’ve been hooked on romance ever since. Some of my favorite books include Gone with the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird and Fireflies in December. I’m an avid reader of John Grisham, John Jakes, DiAnn Mills, Ann Rule and the late Frank McCourt. They are among a few of my favorite authors, but I’ve been known to peruse the dictionary, a thesaurus and even the phone book if I get desperate enough for something to read.
The writing organizations that I belong to include: Beyond Parallax at Centralia College, where I was proudly voted in as an honorary lifetime member; the Christian Writers Guild, where I studied with renowned author Jerry Jenkins; and I have recently joined the American Christian Fiction Writers.
There are three local chapters of Romance Writers of America that I belong to. In the Greater Seattle chapter, I’m a Chairperson to the Goody Bags Committee for the 2011 Emerald City Writers conference in Bellevue, WA in October. In the Olympia chapter, I just completed a term as Treasurer and Secretary. I’ve joined the Peninsula chapter where fellow chaptermate, Darlene Panzara introduced me to Books To Go Now editors, Jenni Conner and Carolyn Schuster.
The Special Interest chapters I belong to include Hearts Through History, where I’m taking a lot of online courses to sharpen my writing skills, and the Faith Hope and Love chapter, where I served as a contest coordinator for the 2011 Inspirational Readers Choice Awards.
In May of 2009, I placed 5th in a nationwide contest sponsored by the Alaska chapter of RWA. More locally 2010 was a big year for me! I won the 2010 Cherry Challenge Award for writing a book in a year. I was also awarded a NaNoWriMo certificate for completing the rough draft to a 50 thousand word novel in less than a month. Then, at the Olympia chapter Christmas party, I won the prestigious Lucy Award. This is a grueling ten month long contest of meeting monthly writing goals. It was really tough so I’m proud to have won.
Fun and exciting places I visited in 2010 include Portland, OR for a Readers Luncheon sponsored by the Rose City RWA chapter. I also flew to Orlando, FL where I had the pleasure of attending my first RWA National conference and pitching one of my manuscripts to a NY agent. I was then off to Bellevue, WA for the Emerald City Writers conference. This is the largest writers conference on the west coast and I was in charge of putting the Goody Bags together. December found me dodging flooded roads to make it to the Peninsula chapter Christmas party in Bremerton, WA. That was lots of fun.
All this must be paying off, my writing has been published in numerous newsletters, magazines, college journals, and in a book of devotions. I’ve completed several inspirational novels and working on submitting them to agents and editors. In June, I completed a proposal with three other authors for an anthology we hope gets picked up by my dream publishing house.
Most recently, Books To Go Now editors contracted me for the publication of my short story, Butterflies Are Free. And November will be the release of the 2012 edition of the Penned From the Heart devotional. I’ll have two devotions appearing in this book. To God be the glory.
On a personal note, I’m happily married, have five children and live in Centralia, WA with my family. Besides writing, my other interests include traveling, caring for my family, being active in my local church, and cheering for the Seattle Seahawks. GO HAWKS!

Craig Hansen
Craig Hansen wrote stories from an early age, but when his SF short story, “The S.S. Nova,” was published in the Minnesota Writers In the School COMPAS program’s 1981 anthology of student writing, When It Grows Up, You Say Goodbye To It, he decided to dedicate himself to writing. Several unpublished novels and short stories followed. Hansen earned two degrees at Minnesota State University at Mankato under the mentorship of young adult novelist Terry Davis. In the years that followed, Hansen worked a variety of jobs related to writing, including editorial work at a small publishing house, holding a position as a website editor, and five years in journalism in northwestern Wisconsin, where he earned several state awards for his writing and editing. His work has appeared in the Meadowbrook Press anthology, Girls to the Rescue, Book 1, as well as the true crime journal, Ripper Notes, in volume 28. His first novel, Most Likely, was released in May. Shada is the first installment of the Ember Cole series of young adult paranormal suspense books. Hansen is hard at work on the next installment in the series, the novel-length book, Ember. Hansen recently moved to Oregon with his wife, a dog, a cat, and his 89-year-old father, a World War II veteran. Craig’s interests include the music of Johnny Cash, reading the novels of other independent authors, blogging, and the study of Messianic theology.

Ember hopes to find the answers she seeks among the dead. But sometimes the dead have their own agenda.

While paranormal elements come into play in Hope, Wisconsin and the world of Ember Cole, there’s now a sparkly vampire boyfriend lurking in every shadow. The supernatural element exists in this neck of the woods, but it makes itself known a bit less often than some other series in this genre.
What can you NOT expect from the world of Ember Cole, in Hope, Wisconsin? Don’t expect lycan-vampire wars or for every character to have some hidden, secret supernatural ability. There are plenty of normal people in Hope.
What CAN you expect from the world of Ember Cole, in Hope, Wisconsin? That even the normal, non-supernatural people are not what they seem. That secrets lurk in the hearts of others. That sometimes those hidden agendas can be more deadly than an army of zombies.
If you like the paranormal, if you like suspense, but if you also like characters you can identify with, maybe it’s time to pay Hope, Wisconsin a visit. Just pray you survive the experience.
